Northwest Neighbors Village (NNV) invites you to join us as a volunteer driver! This orientation is strictly for those who would like to help with our volunteer transportation needs. Volunteering with us is flexible and fun; you choose to offer your time and services on your schedule when you have the time. While helping your neighbors get to important medical appointments and run errands, you’ll meet amazing people, hear incredible stories, make friends, and help strengthen your community!

You’ll then be invited to attend NNV’s Virtual Volunteer Driver Orientation on
Wednesday, October 9 from 1 pm - 2:30 pm via Zoom
Here's what our Village community has to say about NNV’s volunteer transportation service:
"Driving is a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors. I don't consider it a ride, it's a friendly visit on wheels." - NNV Volunteer
"I'm just so thankful for the Village’s help. I guess I could take an Uber, but the volunteers are just so friendly and I'm much more comfortable with them."
- NNV Member
"Thank you for giving me the opportunity to interact with all these fascinating people! It really has been very rewarding." - NNV Volunteer
"Besides being grateful for assistance with transportation to my never-ending doctors’ appointments, I find that I am really enjoying meeting those who provide rides. Many of these volunteers are very interesting! And there sometimes seems to be threads in our lives that are shared. Can’t beat that." - NNV Member
Northwest Neighbors Village was founded in 2009 and is proud to be serving our community for the past 15 years. Our mission is to enable older adults to thrive as they age in our community by offering a robust network of resources, social opportunities, and practical support.
NNV volunteers provide transportation to medical appointments, social events, grocery shopping and errands, hair appointments, and more. Our volunteers help to build a stronger community through direct service to older adults, and are the key to our success!
Volunteer Requirements: We welcome individuals of all backgrounds, ages and abilities (volunteers under 18 years of age need a guardian). All volunteers must pass a criminal background check and must attend an orientation session that will focus on best practices and ways to assist our members.
If you'd like to attend our next virtual volunteer driver orientation, please fill out our Volunteer Interest Form and we will be in touch! Or you can email us with any questions at info@nnvdc.org.
Thank you!
