Citywide Village Survey – Your Feedback is Important!

By:
Stephanie Chong

On June 17th, Village members citywide will be invited to participate in a survey to share your thoughts and experiences regarding the role of the Village in your community. This survey is being sent to approximately 2,400 members of all thirteen Villages across DC to gain a deeper understanding of members’ perceptions of their Villages and to learn how we can best meet the needs of older adults citywide.

Some NNV members may be wondering, “Didn’t I just complete a survey earlier this year?” Yes! NNV conducted a survey of its Full Members (those receiving volunteer services) to help in creating our new Strategic Plan. We received good responses and thank you for helping in that project.

This new survey is different, both in the much broader scope of its distribution and its focus on social connection and isolation and issues related to hospitalization.

Even if you completed the NNV-specific survey earlier this year, your participation in this new DC-wide Villages survey will be extremely important in influencing programs, aging services, policies, and issue advocacy, both within NNV and citywide.

On Monday, June 17th, we will email a link to the survey to you. The survey is designed to be completed online but if this creates a barrier for you, you can request assistance by contacting the office at info@nnvdc.org or 202-935-6060. Volunteers will also be available to assist in completing the survey in person at the NNV Ice Cream Social on June 27th!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at schong@nnvdc.org or 202-935-6060.

Thank you in advance for your participation and for being a valued member of our Village!
