Find Your Place at NNV
There are many ways for you to get involved and help Northwest Neighbors Village build a generous and supportive community that values getting older. Whether you join as a member or become a volunteer, there is a place for you.
Join as a Full Member! Full membership is a great option for neighbors who can benefit from our volunteer services like technology support, transportation, simple home repair, and more. Full members also receive the support of our social work case manager to help with life transitions like a hospital stay or change in care needs. Additionally, Full Members enjoy an array of opportunities to engage with others through our social, cultural, and wellness programs, as well as call on the Village for vendor referrals for everything from finding a plumber to hiring a money manager. Cost: The annual Full Membership fee is $600 for individuals and $900 for households. You can choose to pay monthly with a credit card or make one payment for the year.
The Full Membership rate is waived for neighbors with an annual income below $45,000 for individuals and $55,000 for households – see our website for details.
Join as a Supporting Member! Supporting Membership is a great option for neighbors who do not need volunteer help but would like to connect with others. Supporting Members have access to our full array of programming, from Gentle Yoga classes and lunches, to book clubs, special trips, and more. And because most of programs are member-driven, this is your opportunity to influence the type of activities and events NNV has to offer. Supporting Members also benefit from our vendor referrals and exclusive NNV listserv. Supporting Membership is a great option for donors, as well! Support our mission and enjoy the benefits of a Village membership that is fully tax deductible. Cost: $250 for individuals and $300 for households.
Become a Volunteer! Volunteering is good for you and your community. Studies show that volunteering connects you to others, combats depression, and helps you stay physically healthy. Volunteering with NNV is flexible and fun; you choose to offer your time and services on your schedule when you have the time. NNV volunteers provide transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping assistance, simple home repairs, and computer and technology assistance. Volunteers also help as board members, program and event planners, and provide administrative support. Volunteers are the key to our success. Become a part of our important work! Our next volunteer orientation is scheduled on September 24. Click here to submit a volunteer inquiry.
We encourage you to get involved. Call us at 202-935-6060 or complete an inquiry form on our website. Membership information can be found here and volunteer information can be found here.
